Kerala girls found dead not violated, poisoned: Autopsy
Thrissur/Pathanamthitta (Kerala), July 16: The preliminary autopsy conducted on two schoolgirls found dead on a rail track near Palakkad in Kerala says they were "not violated nor poisoned" and death occurred due to injuries suffered in a fall.
The preliminary report was handed over to police by medical officials on Thursday. [Teenage girls found dead: Kerala police reaches Bengaluru to solve the mystery]

Police, after a preliminary probe, had concluded that it was a case of suicide by the two schoolgirls hailing from Pathanamthitta district.
They said three girls jumped out of a moving train, and in the fall, two of them died while the third was recovering at the Medical College Hospital in Thrissur.
Meanwhile, people in Konni near Pathanamthitta from where the girls hailed said they were upset after Inspector General of Police Manoj Abraham said the girls committed suicide as they were "mentally disturbed" over their families' financial position.
The grieving families have demanded an apology from Abraham.
"Such a statement by a responsible police official is most unfortunate and he should have acted in a more responsible manner," said Congress leader Bindu Krishna.
Additional Director General of Police B. Sandhya visited the homes of the grieving families, and assured them that the probe would be conducted in a fair manner.
The three girls -- all aged 16 -- were classmates in a government school. They had not returned home since July 9. Their bags, some personal belongings, as well as an entry ticket to a garden in Bengaluru, were recovered from a train.
A police team from Pathanamthitta has left for Bengaluru to find out more details as it was found that these girls had visited the city.
Police earlier said they were looking into the girls' social media activities.
