Kerala cook's death, accused detained
Guwahati, July 24: A localite was nabbed by the Assam Police in connection with the murder of 64- year old cook in Kerala.
The police arrested Akash Deep Thej who is accused of murdering Ramachandran, a cook at a toddy shop in Alapuzha district in Kerala.
Akash was detained by the police from his hideout at Majuli, Assam. He hails from the same place.
It was on July 10 that Ramachandran, a cook was found stuffed in a freezer at a toddy shop in Alappuzha where he was an employee. Akash went missing after the murder.
He escaped from Kerala and stayed at Bengaluru and Seemandhra. Before reaching his native he changed the SIM cards many times and the police were keeping track of Akash's communication with his wife.
