Kerala candidate has total assets of just Rs 750!

Biju, the Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist) candidate from Kottayam, has declared in the affidavit that his cash in hand is Rs 500 and the available balance in a local co-operative bank is Rs 250, said a local newspaper report.
Biju is a 46-year-old social worker. He has also disclosed that he or his wife has no land, motor vehicle or jewellery, official sources said.
Meanwhile, Shajar Khan, another SUCI candidate who filed nomination from Thiruvananthapuram, has stated that the total money he has in hand is Rs 1,500 and the total assets including the price of motorcycle and bank balance is Rs 26,800. He said that he has no jewellery or immovabale properties.
