Kejriwal writes to industry dept against FDI funded stores in Delhi

The previous Delhi government had allowed FDI in multi-brand retail in Delhi. However, the Aam Aadmi Party always against FDI. Doing away with FDI was one of the steps AAP had mentioned in its manifesto before elections in Delhi in December 2013.
Many states like Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh allow FDI funded retail stores.
Kejriwal has always been a strong voice against FDI in retail. In 2012, he had said, "The Walmart experience shows that farmers in the US were not benefitted, but deprived besides being a very bad employer."
The young party is receiving incredible support from across the country. Many well-known including activist Medha Patkar extended support for AAP recently.
