Amit Shah Criticises Arvind Kejriwal for Deceitful Politics Ahead of Delhi Assembly Elections

Union Home Minister Amit Shah accused AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal of deceitful politics, urging Delhi voters to support BJP for development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Shah, speaking at two public meetings before the assembly elections, claimed BJP's dual governance would deliver on promises, unlike AAP. He criticised AAP for allegedly misleading people about welfare schemes being discontinued if BJP gains power.

Allegations Against AAP

Shah alleged that during its decade-long rule, the AAP government failed to deliver and betrayed Delhi's residents. He accused them of corruption, citing scams like the DTC bus scam, smart classroom scam, and CCTV scam. Public funds intended for hospitals, schools, and Yamuna river cleaning were squandered in these scams, he charged.

He further criticised Kejriwal for building a luxurious residence worth Rs 52 crore despite initially refusing a government bungalow. Shah also accused Kejriwal of involvement in a liquor scam worth crores and breaking promises to close liquor shops in residential areas, instead opening them near schools and religious sites.

BJP's Promises and Criticism

Shah assured that PM Modi has guaranteed no existing welfare scheme for the poor will be stopped. "They are misleading people," he stated at a Rajouri Garden meeting while campaigning for BJP candidate Manjinder Singh Sirsa. He emphasised that BJP would not halt any welfare initiatives aimed at the poor.

The minister promised that if BJP wins the Delhi polls, they will develop a Yamuna riverfront similar to Gujarat's Sabarmati riverfront. He urged Kejriwal to visit the Ganga at Maha Kumbh to witness how PM Modi cleaned it. Shah criticised AAP's governance, mentioning broken roads and medical test scams under mohalla clinics.

Appeal to Voters

Addressing another gathering in Tri Nagar for BJP candidate Tilak Ram Gupta, Shah accused the AAP government of sheltering Rohingyas and Bangladeshis in Delhi. He appealed to voters to remove AAP from power and support BJP. Shah asserted that BJP would rid Delhi of illegal immigrants.

He highlighted that all states have progressed under BJP rule and Modi's leadership, but Delhi remains stagnant. "Modi ji has decided to make Delhi the number one capital in the world," he said. The BJP's poll manifesto is Modi's guarantee, he added.

Achievements Under Modi

Shah cited achievements like constructing a Ram temple in Ayodhya after Modi's re-election as Prime Minister. He mentioned rebuilding the Kashi Vishwanath corridor destroyed by Aurangzeb, abolishing triple talaq, and integrating Kashmir into India by scrapping Article 370.

The Delhi assembly elections are scheduled for February 5, with results expected on February 8. Shah urged voters to support BJP to end deceitful politics and ensure Delhi's progress under Modi's leadership.
