Uttarakhand News: CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Visits Kedarnath Dham on Temple Door Closure, Prays for State's Well-being

On the closure of Kedarnath temple doors, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami offered prayers and reviewed ongoing development projects. He highlighted the successful Char Dham Yatra and directed preparations for the next pilgrimage season.

On the auspicious occasion of the seasonal closure of Shri Kedarnath Dham's temple doors, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached the sacred shrine on Thursday to offer prayers and extend wishes for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of the people of Uttarakhand.

The portals of Kedarnath temple, a revered center of Sanatan faith, were ceremoniously closed for the winter season. Marking this spiritual milestone, CM Dhami performed special rituals and interacted with local priests and pilgrims, reinforcing the cultural and devotional significance of the event.

During his visit, the Chief Minister inspected the ongoing development and reconstruction works in the Kedarnath region. He emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, extensive projects are underway not only in the Char Dham circuit but also in temples associated with the Manaskhand region.

Highlighting the success of this year's Char Dham Yatra, CM Dhami noted that a record number of devotees visited Baba Kedarnath. He credited the state government's meticulous planning for the smooth and safe conduct of the pilgrimage. "The Char Dham Yatra is not just a spiritual journey-it plays a vital role in strengthening the state's economy and connects Devbhoomi Uttarakhand with Sanatan Dharma followers across the globe," he said.

Looking ahead, the Chief Minister directed officials to begin preparations for the 2026 pilgrimage season well in advance to ensure seamless arrangements. He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the priests, rights holders, local traders, and pilgrims for their cooperation in making this year's yatra a success.

"This year, a record number of devotees visited during the Char Dham Yatra, and the pilgrimage to Baba Kedarnath has concluded successfully. May Baba's blessings remain upon all of us. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state government is developing Uttarakhand as the spiritual capital of Sanatan Dharma."
