Kashmir: Terrorists shun Ak-47, go for US Army’s M4 Carbine

This weapon is extensively used by the United States Armed Forces and is largely replacing the M 16 rifle.

Amidst threats of a biological warfare being launched in Kashmir, a disturbing photograph of a terrorist holding a very sophisticated weapon has surfaced.

The picture of a terrorist who goes by the name Sameer Tiger holding the sophisticated M4 Carbine has surfaced. Going by the picture, it appears that terrorists have shunned the AK-47 and 56 and are now using this very sophisticated piece of equipment.

Incidentally this is the for the first time that terrorists in Kashmir have sourced the M4. There are several Intelligence Bureau alerts stating that Pakistan will make a desperate push in the next couple of days before the snow sets in.

Once the snow sets in, infiltrations tend to come down. The next 15 to 20 days are very crucial, the IB report warns as it advises strict patrolling along the border to foil large scale infiltrations.

What is the M4 carbine:

This weapon is extensively used by the United States Armed Forces and is largely replacing the M 16 rifle. The M4 is capable of mounting the M203 and M320 grenade launchers.

The M4 is capable of firing in semi-automatic and three-round burst modes (like the M16A2 and M16A4), while the M4A1 is capable of firing in semi-auto and fully automatic modes (like the M16A1 and M16A3).
