The event, held under the banner of the Youth Congress, featured a traditional milk abhishek, Vedic chants by Brahmin priests, a ceremonial gathering on the ghats, and the cutting of a giant laddoo cake. Organizers also displayed an image of Gandhi holding a copy of the Constitution, underscoring what they described as his dedication to safeguarding democratic principles and social justice.

Speaking on the occasion, Youth Congress District President Advocate Vikas Singh said the celebration was conducted in the presence of "Mother Ganga," where Brahmins recited Vedic mantras and offered blessings for Gandhi's well-being and long life. The event drew the attention of local residents and party workers, making it one of the more unusual birthday tributes organized for the Congress leader.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended his wishes to Gandhi on the occasion. In a post on X, Modi wrote: "Best wishes to the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Shri Rahul Gandhi Ji on his birthday. Praying for his good health and long life."

Born in New Delhi on June 19, 1970, Rahul Gandhi received messages from several senior Congress leaders.
