Is Karunanidhi insecured over Alaghiri and Congress closeness?

Karunanidhi said, "The DMK will forgive and support Congress if they seek help after elections. Though the Congress has been unfaithful, we will forgive them for a secular government." Meanwhile, Alagiri has hinted that he is willing to help Congress to stand against DMK in the Lok Sabha elections. Karunanidhi, with his u-turn about his opinion about the Congress, is trying keep Alagiri away from it. IN fact, he has promised them a post-poll tie up.
The DMK had walked out of the UPA in protest 2 years ago and is contesting on its own with some small political parties in the Lok Sabha elections. The Congress, on the other hand, is forced to fend for itself after it failed to forge an alliance with the DMK and DMDK.
