In a significant development, a woman allegedly associated with a criminal network has been arrested in connection with the murder of Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. The arrest was made on Monday, December 11, by the Jaipur Police, shedding light on a complex web of criminal involvement in the high-profile case.

Woman Linked To Criminal Network Arrested In Karni Sena Chief Murder Case

Prior to the woman's arrest, three men, including two shooters, were apprehended for their alleged involvement in the murder. Nitin Fauji and Rohit Rathore, identified as the shooters, along with their accomplice Udham Singh, were arrested in a joint operation conducted by the Rajasthan Police and the Delhi Police. The trio was produced before a local court and remanded to police custody for seven days by the magistrate.

Connections to Criminal Network Revealed

The investigation revealed that the arrested woman, Pooja Saini, and her husband, Mahendra Meghwal, played a crucial role in facilitating the crime. They provided weapons to Fauji, who stayed in their rented flat in Jaipur's Jagatpura area for nearly a week before carrying out the killing on December 5. Meghwal, also known as Sameer, is a history-sheeter from Kota and is currently absconding, according to the police.

Gangster's Involvement and Motive

The investigation further uncovered the involvement of gangster Rohit Godara, who is linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Godara had claimed responsibility for Gogamedi's killing in a Facebook post, stating that the Karni Sena chief was backing his enemies. It is believed that Meghwal had procured a significant number of pistols and cartridges, providing the weapons necessary for the crime.

Sequence of Events and Crime Execution

On the morning of December 5, Meghwal dropped Fauji on Ajmer Road, where Rathore was waiting. The armed duo was then taken to Gogamedi's residence in Jaipur's Shyam Nagar area. They gained access to the house through Naveen Shekhawat, an acquaintance of the Karni Sena chief. After a brief conversation, the shooters opened fire at Gogamedi in his living room, resulting in his death. Tragically, Shekhawat was also killed before the assailants fled the scene.

Evidence Recovered from Flat

During the investigation, substantial evidence was recovered from the flat rented by Meghwal and Saini. This evidence suggests that a network of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was operating from there. The couple had allegedly provided weapons for multiple crimes executed by the gang in Jaipur.

The arrest of the woman associated with the criminal network and the subsequent revelations have shed light on the intricate connections between various criminal elements involved in the murder of Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. The ongoing investigation aims to apprehend all those responsible for this heinous crime and bring justice to the victim's family.
