Karnataka Power Cut: Doctor Gives Stitches To Patient Under Mobile Flashlight
According to the reports, a man in Karnataka's Ballari, who got seriously injured in a road accident, received stitches under a mobile phone flashlight in a government hospital following an unexpected power cut. The incident reportedly happened on February 13 and now, a video of the incident is going viral on the internet.
The patient, who sustained minor injuries, was taken to the emergency ward for immediate care, but there was no backup power available, and doctors had to use a mobile flashlight to finish the procedure.

The blackout lasted approximately 15 minutes, causing disruptions in treatment.
Power Fluctuations Cause Disruption
Reacting to the incident, Medical Superintendent Shiva Nayak told the media that power supply issues were prevalent throughout the evening. "On February 13, there were a lot of power fluctuations in the evening and the automatic power restore system was not working properly, so it took 5 minutes to repair it and this video is from that time," Shiva Nayak said.
The video also shows other patients present in the emergency ward while medical staff and others worked using mobile phone flashlights. This highlights the challenges faced by healthcare professionals during such unforeseen circumstances.
