The Baltimore Police on Saturday found the bodies of an Indian family at their Towson residence in Maryland in the United States.

The deceased have been identified as Yogesh H. Nagarajappa, Prathiba Y. Amarnath, and their son Yash Honnal. Reportedly the family hailed from Halekhal village in Karnataka's Devanagere district.

The police suspect it was murder-cum suicide. Baltimore County Police spokesperson Anthony Shelton was quoted saying, "Each appeared to have suffered an apparent gunshot wound."

The three members of the family had gunshot wounds on their bodies. According to Shelton, "Each appeared to suffer from an apparent gunshot wound."

The family members were last seen on Tuesday evening, police said. An autopsy would be conducted to determine the manner and cause of death, the spokesperson informed.

Baltimore County executive Johnny Olszewski expressed condolences for the deceased and said, "I am heartbroken and deeply saddened for the innocent victims whose lives were cut short by this horrific act. We will do everything possible to assist family and community members following this tragic incident."

Meanwhile, Yogesh's mother Shobha reportedly informed that she learned about the death of the family from the Baltimore Police. "I spoke to son and daughter-in-law last week", she added. On the other hand, Yogesh's cousin has claimed that the couple were happy with each other.

Family members of Yogesh have approached the Indian Authorities to help them get the mortal remains of the deceased.

Yogesh who was working as a software engineer was residing in the United States for the last nine years. His wife was also employed as a software engineer.

Although the cause of the death is not known yet, Yogesh's cousin asserted that they have approached deputy commissioner of police and the superintendent for help.
