The Congress secured a landslide victory in Karnataka in the just concluded assembly elections in the state.

There were several candidates in the state who won by a large margin of votes. The list is topped by Karnataka Congress chief, DK Shivakumar who trounced his rival R Ashoka by a margin of 1,22,392 votes.

Let us take a look at the other high-margin winners:

In Chamarajpet, BA Zameer Ahmed of the Congress won by a margin of 53,953 votes against the BJP's Bhaskar Rao.

Laxman Sangappa Savadi of the Congress beat his rival Mahesh Kumathalli by 76,122 votes from the Belagavi district.

In Belgaum Rural, Congress leader Laxmi Hebbalkar beat the BJP's Nagesh Manolkar by 56,016 votes.

At Chikkodi-Sadalga, Ganesh Hukkeri of the Congress party won the assembly seat of Chikkodi-Sadalga by a margin of 78,509 votes.

Congress candidate KC Veerendra Puppy beat the BJP's Thippa Reddy by a margin of 53,300 votes in Chitradurga.

In Kolar Gold Field, Roopa Kala of the Congress defeated the BJP's Ashwini Sampangi by a margin of 50,467 votes.

AR Krishnamurti of the Congress beat the BJP's MN Mahesh by 59,519 votes in Kollegal.

NT Srinivas of the Congress beat Lokesh Nayaka of the BJP by 54,350 votes in Kudligi.

AC Srinivas of the Congress beat BSP candidate, Akhanda Srinivas Murthy by 62,133 votes in Pulakeshinagar.

Kelachandra Joseph George of Congress defeated the BJP's Padmanabha Reddy by 55,768 votes in Sarvagnanagar.

In Yemkanmardi, Congress candidate Satish Jarkiholi defeated BJP's Basavaraj Hundri by 57,211 votes.

BJP candidate Ravi Subramanya won against B Venkatesh of the Congress by 54,978 in Basavanagudi.

BJP's Vithal Somanna Halagekar defeated his Congress opponent Dr Anjali Hemant Nimbalkar in Khanapur by a margin of 54629 votes.

BJP leader K Gopalaiah beat Congress candidate Keshavamurthy by a margin of 51,165 votes in Mahalakshmi Layout.

BJP's R Ashoka defeated Congress' V Raghunatha Naidu by a margin of 55,175 votes at Padmanaba Nagar.
