Karnataka Elections 2018: 'PM Modi's rally improved BJP's tally,' says pollster
An opinion poll by Bhanuvar magazine and MRIB predicted that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will emerge as the single largest party in the Karnataka assembly elections. The Congress and JDS trail behind respectively.

Psephologist Mahadeva Prakash-led team of experts conducted an online survey between March last week and April first week. The opinion poll also took into consideration ground reports as well. Based on the findings, in it's latest edition released on May 1st, the survey showed that BJP to get 95 seats, Congress 75 seats, JDS likely to get 50 seats.
On May 6, the survey announced its final predictions which included the mood of the people after PM Modi's blitzkrieg in the state. According to Mahadeva Prakash and his team, the BJP to get 101-106, Congress- 63-68 and JDS- 55-60 and others will get between 3-5.
He opined that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rallies in the first week of May has played vital role in setting the tone for pro-BJP mood in the state.
Mahadeva Prakash says, 'The impact of PM Modi's rally may give edge to the BJP in 15-25 seats in the state. Also, Madiga (SC sub-caste) and Valmiki (ST) votes are not going to the Congress. Another Chalwadi community votes will be divided between the Congress and the BJP."
