Karnataka election updates: Polling concludes, over to May 15 now
The big day is here. After a gruelling campaign, Karnataka finally votes today. Get your voter ID cards and voter slips ready and do ensure that you cast your ballot. Your vote matters.
With prayers on their lips, candidates of the BJP, Congress and JD(S) would hope that they win this battle. Will there be a clear winner or will it be a hung house? The people get to decide that now.

Before you set out to vote, here are some tips:
If you do not have a voter ID card. You can vote as long as your name is on the electoral roll. If you do not have a voter ID, then alternative ID proofs can be carried. They are Passport, Driving License, Service Identity Cards with photograph issued to employees by Central/State Govt PSUs/Public Limited Companies, Passbooks with photograph issued by Bank/Post Office, PAN Card, Smart Card issued by RGI under NPR, MNREGA Job Card, Health Insurance Smart Card issued under the scheme of Ministry of Labour, Pension document with photograph,Authenticated Photo Voter Slip issued by the election machinery, Official identity cards issued to MPs/MLAs/MLCs.
The campaign was a hectic one and saw a huge seizure of cash. The cash seized this year was 500 per cent more when compared to 2013.
