Karnataka Election Results 2023: Tune into Dailyhunt to get the fastest coverage
The results for the Karnataka Assembly polls will be announced on Saturday, May 13.
The polls for the 224 Assembly seats were held in single phase on May 10. There were 2,613 candidates in the fray out of which 2,427 were male, 184 females and 2 others.

Among the contesting candidates from recognised political parties, 224 were from BJP, 223 from Congress (supporting Sarvodaya Karnataka Party in Melukote), 207 from JD(S), 209 from AAP, 133 from BSP , 4 from CPI(M), 8 from JD(U) and 2 from NPP. While 685 are from Registered Unrecognised Political Parties (RUPP), 918 were independents.
This year, there were 5,31,33,054 registered voters out of which 16 lakh people were first-time voters.
It has to be noted that the Election Commission introduced the facility to Vote-from-Home (VFH) for people above 80 years of age and those with disabilities in this assembly elections in Karnataka.
