Karnataka election: Complete list of BJP’s star campaigners
The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday (April 21) released a list of 40 star campaigners for the Karnataka Assembly elections 2018. Karnataka will go to polls on May 12. The counting of votes will take place on May 15. The term of the current 224-member legislative Assembly ends on May 28.

The list has some big names including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, followed by BJP chief Amit Shah, state BJP president BS Yeddyurappa, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Home Minister Rajnath Singh.

The list released by the state BJP office also includes names of Union Ministers Piyush Goyal, Nitin gadkari, Ananth Kumar, Nirmala Sitharaman, Prakash Javadekar, Smriti Irani, Ravi Shankar Prasad Chief Ministers Yogi Adityanath, Devendra Fadnavis, Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

The major national parties contesting the elections are Indian National Congress (INC), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Janata Dal and Janata Dal (Secular).

Earlier today, the Congress today released its list of star campaigners for the upcoming Karnataka Assembly elections. Among others on this list were Rashtriya Janata Dal's (RJD) Tejashwi Yadav, Samajwadi Party's (SP) Akhilesh Yadav and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) supremo Sharad Pawar.
