Karnataka Assembly Election 2023 Janata Dal (Secular) Candidates: The Janata Dal (Secular) or JDS released its first list of candidates comprising 93 names for the upcoming Karnataka election 2023. The list had nominees from almost all the districts of Karnataka right from Khanapur in Belagavi in north Karnataka to Hanur in Chamarajanagar district of the southern part of the state. Voting for the 224-member Karnataka Assembly will take place on May 10, and results will be declared on May 13.

The candidates list was released by the party's state chief CM Ibrahim on December 19, 2022, in the presence of former Karnataka Chief Minister and JDS leader H D Kumaraswamy, who will be contesting from the Channapattana seat.

Kumaraswamy's son and grandson of former Prime Minister and party patriarch H D Deve Gowda, Nikhil Kumaraswamy will be contest from Rama Nagar, while GT Deve Gowda will contest from the Chamundeshwari Assembly constituency.
