Karnataka polls: Cong is clear winner, predicts TV9-CVoter survey
A pre-poll survey conducted by TV9-CVoter has predicted a clear win for the Congress party in the upcoming Karnataka assembly election 2023. The survey showed that Congress has improved its performance in terms of vote share, and the BJP has gone down further in numbers.
The opinion poll by TV9-CVoter predicted that the Congress would win 106-116 seats with a vote share of 40 per cent. The BJP is expected to get 79-89 seats with a vote share of 33.9 pe rcent, while JDS is predicted to get 24-34 seats with a vote share of 18.8 per cent, and others might get 0-5 seats with a vote share of 7.3 per cent.
According to the pre-poll survey, the BJP's tally will be powered by a good performance in the Coastal Karnataka region, though the party is expected to suffer significant reverses in Kittur Karnataka, which it swept in the 2018 state assembly elections.

In coastal Karnataka, the ruling BJP is expected to put up a good show with 16-20 seats, the Congress with 1-05, the JDS with nil, and others 0-1.
Cong to secure sound win in Karnataka polls, predicts pre-poll survey
In the Kittur Karnataka region, the Congress is set to gain ground in a BJP bastion. The pre-poll survey conducted by TV9 Kannada-CVoter projected that Congress is expected to win 25-29 seats, the BJP is expected to get 21-25 seats, JDS is 0-1, and others 0-1. In the 2018 Assembly elections, the saffron party got 30 out of 50 seats in the region. However, Congress had managed to win 17 seats, JDS 2, and others 1.
In the Kalyana Karnataka region too, Congress is predicted to get a maximum number of seats of 16-20. The BJP is expected to get 11-15 seats, while the JDS is projected to lose 3 seats.
In the Greater Bengaluru region, Congress is expected to get 18-22 seats, BJP 7-11, JDS 1-5, and others 1.
The pre-poll survey also showed respondents views on who will be the next possible chief minister of Karnataka. HD Kumaraswamy from JD(S) was preferred as the Chief Minister over other leaders.
