Karnataka Congress MLA, Siddu Nyamgouda dies in road accident

Congress MLA from Karnataka, Siddu Nyamgouda passed away in a road accident. He was on his way from Goa to Bagalkot when his car met with an accident.

Reports state that the MLA was taken to hospital, but declared brought dead. The incident occurred near Tulasigeri.

He was elected to the Karnataka assembly in the recently conducted elections. He had contested on a Congress ticket from the Jamkhandi constituency. He was up against Shrikant Kulkarni of the BJP.

Siddu polled 49,245 votes while Kulkarni ended up with 46,450. The last rites of the leader will be held tomorrow.
