Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah buys sari worth Rs 1 lakh for wife, demand soars
Bengaluru, Jan 21: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah made it to news after he, reportedly, purchased a Rs 1.08 lakh worth silk sari for his wife at the inauguration of Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation (KSIC) showroom in Davanagere.
The speciality of this silk sari is that it is 'water resistant'.

As per an India Today report, the sari cost Rs 1.08 lakh and is orange in colour. The Karanataka CM was shown the latest saris from the Threads of Gold collection.
After purchasing the sari, the Karnataka CM even tested the sari by pouring a litre of water over it.
As per a TOI report, the sari's demand has soared up ever since the CM bought the waterproof silk sari.
KSIC chairman D Basavaraj was quoted by TOI as saying that several customers made enquiries about the waterproof sari and booked it for purchase.
A day after chief minister Siddaramaiah purchased a Rs 1.09 lakh worth waterproof, silk sari for his wife at the Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation (KSIC) showroom in Davanagere, curious customers are asking for it.
