Karnataka: BJP Zilla Panchayat member killed in Dharwad

Dharwad, June 15: A district panchayat member of the BJP, Yogesh Gowda was hacked to death today in Dharwad.

He was on his way to gymnasium when he was attacked by machete by unidentified men.

Preliminarily information gathered hints at rivalry withing the party as a cause for death but there are no substantial evidences at this level to ascertain the same.

The police stated that he was attacked while he was on his way to gym. The police said Yogesh was attacked by the machete. The cops also probing property dispute pertaining to Gowda as this could also be one of the reasons for the dastardly killing. The ploce are also examining the CCTV footage.
