Kargil Diwas messages videos flood Twitter

Kargil, July 26: India commemorates the 15th anniversary of the martyrs who fiercely pushed back the enemy 15 years ago. Defence minister is here, saluting their contribution, but what formed the focus was the families and friends of the martyrs who held their heads high with pride, a sense of satisfaction that their children have given their lives for the country, a nation that they love more than self.

9:25 am: People flooding Twitter with Youtube sites showing films and videos of the Kargil War, slauting the bravehearts.

9:00 am: "India needs a war memorial and a museum," said Arun Jaitley at the Amar Jyoti Jawan. Land vicinity for the War Memorial is decided to be the Princess Park. Authorities to visit the site soon, of course building them will take time as it is supposed to be grand.

8:45 am: "Seeing the respect given to martyred jawans, we get inspired and filled with a renewed sense of doing something for the country,"says an army jawan.

8:30 am: "This place and this day reminds us of those brave-hearts who sacrificed their lives for the country. My son was one of them. I am sad that I lost my son but, at the same time, there is a feeling of pride that he laid down his life for the country," said Col VN Thapar, father of Capt. Vijyant Thapar, who was martyred while leading an attack of the 2 Rajputana Rifles at Tololing.
