Karan Johar stopped by airport security for not showing his ID

Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar has came under attack from netizens after he was stopped by a security officer at an airport gate.

Karan Johar stopped at airport gate as he fails to show document

In the video, Karan walked past the security officer at the gate without showing the necessary document. Hence, he was asked to come back and show it.

This gesture of the Bollywood filmmaker has been criticised by netizens. A user wrote, "He was so busy doing his airport catwalk that he forgot to show his papers to the security guy!"

The second user said, "Look at that face of his as if he was doing a favour is it that difficult for these 🤡 to follow security behave as if they own everything. [sic]"

"What is this guy above law!!! Matlab he's flaunting arrogance," the third user added. "The airport does not belong to its father that he is going inside without security checking," the fourth one criticised.

"Does he not know that he has to show ticket/boarding pass?" a netizen questioned.

"Good job done by CISF. Sincere and dedicated towards his duties. Even he must check the ID too," another user hailed the officer. "Why he didn't even remove goggle? Why police didn't ask to do so?" one more asked.

Johar sported baggy black joggers with a black T-shirt, and a white jacket. He also had a big bag.

On the work front, he will next be directing 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani'. The romantic-comedy stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the leads with Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi enacting important roles.

Talking about the movie, Johar recently said, "It's been 7 years since I directed a film..... I embarked on a journey of a film that I had to stop mid way for various unavoidable reasons and then the germ of #rockyaurranikipremkahani came to me from a real life family anecdote ( something my father once told me about ) and then my soldiers helped me create everything I wanted to with my 7th feature ... I was blessed with the best team ... a team so full of love that bidding them goodbye was not easy..... thank you to each and every one of the core team that helped me through thick, thin, Covid and bad weather."
