Kanteerava Stadium Gets Ready For Karnataka CM Swearing-In, Traffic Advisory Issued

The swearing-in ceremony of the new government is set to take place at Kanteerava Stadium at 12.30 pm on Saturday. It is anticipated that a large crowd ranging from 50,000 to 1 lakh people will gather for the event, including several Chief Ministers from different states across the country. As a result, traffic disruptions are expected in the Central Business District (CBD) areas.

In preparation for the oath-taking ceremony, the Bengaluru traffic police have issued a new traffic advisory to ensure smooth traffic flow and minimize disruptions for students and commuters. The general public has been requested to take note of specific traffic restrictions and diversions.

On Saturday, the entry of all types of vehicles from Queens Circle towards Siddalingaiah Circle will be restricted. Commuters are advised to either take a left or right turn at Queen's Circle and proceed towards Lavelle Road or Queen's Road.

Vehicles coming from Balekundri Circle towards Queen's Circle will be diverted towards Police Thimmaiah Circle at Patta Junction. However, Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) buses and other vehicles are permitted to take a left turn at Police Thimmaiah Circle and continue towards KR Circle.

Dignitaries attending the program are allowed to park their vehicles at St Joseph's College ground. Other vehicles can be parked at BBMP Head Office premises, Badami House, United Mission College campus, and the left side of KG Road. However, parking is prohibited on RRMR Road, Kasturba Road, and Mallya Hospital Road.

Invitees arriving for the event are advised to disembark from their vehicles and reach the venue through the gates on RRMR Road and Mallya Hospital Road. Those arriving from different districts in vehicles are advised to reach KG Road, Richmond Circle, or Queen's Circle, and then proceed on foot to the venue. Their vehicles can be parked at Palace Grounds. It is important to note that explosives, sharp objects, matchboxes, lighters, and similar items are not permitted at the venue.

In case of congestion or accidents, individuals are urged to immediately inform the traffic control room at the following phone numbers: 080-22943030, 080-22943131. Citizens with important appointments and students appearing for examinations are requested to start their journeys early to reach their destinations on time.

No vehicles will be allowed from CTO Circle towards Queen's Circle, but road users can take Cubbon Road and either head towards Anil Kumble Circle or Manipal Center. Vehicles moving from Halsoor gate towards Siddalingaiah Circle will also be redirected towards Devanga Junction and Mission Road.
