Kanpur Crime: 13-Year-Old Girl Missing For 4 Days Found Dead; Clothes Torn, Injury Marks On Head, Face

In a shocking incident, a rape and murder case has been filed in Kanpur's Maharajpur, where a 13-year-old girl faced a horrific crime. According to the reports, the minor was a class 8 student, who went missing four days ago and now her dead body has been discovered in a horrific state. The death of the minor has sparked rage amoung the people of her village, following which, a comprehensive investigation has been launched.

Looking at the sensitivity of the case, high-ranking officials have taken investigation into their own hands, and Police Commissioner Akhil Kumar and Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Harish Chander are personally monitoring the progress in the investigation.

The police is taking the help of forensic experts, and using sniffer dogs to collect evidence to catch the people responsible for the crime.

As per the locals, the 13-year-old girl, who disappeared on Monday while searching for her missing goats, never returned home. After this, her family reported the matter to police at Maharajpur Police Station.

Reports said the girl's body had injury marks on her head, face, and chest, and her clothes were torn.

The police rigorously interrogated several young men from the victim's village and nearby areas. While a number of individuals were detained for further questioning based on suspicions raised by the victim's family, no formal arrests have been made to date. The Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) for Chakeri, Dileep Kumar Singh, mentioned that the body had been sent for an autopsy to ascertain the exact cause of death.

"The police are investigating the matter and several persons upon whom the victim's family raised suspicion were also detained for questioning," Singh said.
