Kanhaiya Kumar Critiques BJP's Divisive Politics and Mocks Ajit Pawar at Mumbra Rally

During a rally in Mumbra, Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar criticised the BJP for its divisive strategies. He remarked that Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar might have taken the NCP's name and symbol, but his influence has waned. Kumar commended NCP SP MLA Jitendra Awhad for remaining loyal to opposition leader Sharad Pawar.

Kanhaiya Kumar Slams BJPs Divisive Tactics

The NCP experienced a split in July last year when Ajit Pawar and eight other MLAs joined the Eknath Shinde government. Kumar accused the BJP of creating chaos in governance and elections, aiming to divide and confuse voters. He urged Maharashtra's citizens to vote for secularism and integrity in the upcoming elections.

Political Allegations and Criticisms

Kumar took a jab at Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, stating, "Ajit Pawar stole the NCP's watch, but his clock has stopped ticking. His politics is full of uncertainty." He also alleged that the Narendra Modi government prioritises corporates and industrialists while ignoring farmers' suicides and citizens' struggles with rising prices and unemployment.

Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai echoed similar sentiments at the rally. He accused the Modi and Shinde governments of thriving on dishonesty and division. Rai highlighted India's shared cultural heritage and the traditional unity among communities as essential values.

Call for Unity and Secularism

Jitendra Awhad urged voters to support the Maha Vikas Aghadi, emphasising that this election is crucial for Maharashtra's identity and future. The state polls are scheduled for November 20, with vote counting set for November 23.

Kumar's remarks reflect a broader criticism of current political dynamics in Maharashtra. The focus remains on promoting secularism and addressing economic challenges faced by ordinary citizens.
