Kangana Ranaut Shares Sneak Peek From Parliament After Lok Sabha Adjournment

Actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut has been balancing her dual roles in politics and cinema since winning a Lok Sabha seat in her home state of Himachal Pradesh last year.

She recently offered a peek into her day at Parliament, posing alongside fellow ministers shortly after a meeting concluded.

Kangana's Latest Snap

In a fresh photo posted to her Instagram Stories, Kangana is pictured seated with several other ministers and colleagues inside Parliament. She wore a light orange saree for the occasion.

Was she caught up in a debate? Her caption clarified, "Parliament adjourned till 2PM, everyone is waiting for it to start again." She also included the hashtag #ParliamentDay in the image.

Her Political Journey

The 2024 Lok Sabha elections marked Kangana's debut as a political candidate.

Representing Mandi, she triumphed over her Congress opponent, Vikramaditya Singh, by a margin of 74,755 votes, garnering 537,002 votes to his 462,267.

Following her victory, the MP expressed her appreciation on Instagram, writing, "Heartfelt gratitude to all the people of Mandi for this love and trust... This victory belongs to all of you, this is the victory of your trust in Prime Minister Modi and BJP, this is the victory of Sanatan and in the honour of Mandi."

In her acting career, Kangana's most recent appearance was in 'Emergency', her first venture as a director, produced under her own banner, Manikarnika Films.

She portrayed former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the film, which is set during the Emergency period imposed by the Congress government between 1975 and 1977. The movie is available to stream on Netflix.
