Jyoti Malhotra Confession: Alleged Spy YouTuber Admits Being In Touch With Pakistani Agents, Say Reports
Haryana-based YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra found herself in the midst of a storm, following her arrest by Indian authorities for allegedly spying on behalf of Pakistan. The creator, known for her work on the 'Travel with JO' YouTube channel, which boasts a following of 3.87 lakh subscribers, is now facing accusations that put her in direct contact with agents of Pakistani intelligence. As per media reports, she has confessed to interactions that have shed light on a complex web of espionage that spans across borders.
Malhotra's narrative began with her admission of visiting the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi in 2023, under the guise of obtaining a visa for travel to Pakistan. It was here she encountered Ehsan-ur-Rahim, also known as Danish, a former officer of the commission. This meeting marked the beginning of a series of events that would later see her embroiled in activities far removed from her YouTube endeavors. On May 13, following allegations of espionage, India expelled Ehsan, highlighting the gravity of the accusations levied against those in his circle, including Malhotra.

The YouTuber's confession goes into further detail about her travels to Pakistan, where she was introduced to Ali Hasan by Danish. Hasan, in turn, connected her with Shakir and Rana Shahbaz, believed to be operatives within the Pakistani Intelligence. Malhotra disclosed how she cleverly saved Shakir's number under the alias 'Jatt Radhawa' in her phone, a move designed to throw off any suspicion from her activities.
Further deepening the intrigue, Malhotra revealed her method of communicating with these operatives. Utilizing encrypted social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Snapchat, and Telegram, she was able to share sensitive information pertaining to national security. This included details about troop deployments along the borders of Attari and Rajasthan, which she had passed on to Shakir and subsequently to Rana Shahbaz, Danish, and Ali Hasan. Her confession elucidates a calculated approach to espionage, employing multiple IDs and a separate mobile number for a Telegram account to safeguard her clandestine exchanges.
The intelligence shared was not trivial; it provided exact details about the deployment of Indian forces, specifying the intensity of military presence in certain villages near the border. This information was systematically relayed to her contacts since the end of 2023, highlighting a continuous and deliberate effort to undermine national security.
Despite the gravity of her actions, Malhotra's story has resonated beyond the confines of espionage. A diary, uncovered following her arrest, revealed her professed affection for Pakistan, a sentiment that paints a complex picture of her motivations. Moreover, her case has garnered attention from across the border, with Pakistani journalist Hira Batool vocalizing her support for Malhotra. Batool's comments suggest a narrative of misunderstanding and conflict, indicative of the broader tensions between India and Pakistan.
