Jodhpur On Red Alert As Administration Warns Of Possible Pakistani Air Strike

As tensions between India and Pakistan escalate, several districts in Rajasthan have been placed on high alert. Jodhpur district has issued a red alert warning amid concerns over a possible air strike by Pakistan. The district administration has advised all residents to return indoors. According to the District Collector and Magistrate of Jodhpur, a siren will be sounded in case of an emergency, and the public has been asked to vacate roads and stay inside.

Barmer district has also been placed on high red alert in the wake of the ongoing Operation Sindoor. Officials have cited potential threats from Pakistan as the reason for the heightened security posture.

Rajasthan's border districts are on edge as authorities brace for possible strikes. The district administrations, along with police forces, have asked people to avoid unnecessary travel and to stay indoors until further notice.

Warning sirens were activated in Barmer to alert residents, and police teams have stepped up patrolling in vulnerable areas. Public announcements were made through police vehicles and public address systems to ensure residents were informed of the developing situation.

Markets in Barmer and Jaisalmer were shut down as a precautionary step. High alerts have also been issued in Bikaner and Sri Ganganagar districts, where similar security measures are being enforced.

Late Friday night, Pakistan reportedly attempted multiple drone attacks in the Jaisalmer and Barmer districts. These attempts were thwarted as Indian defence forces intercepted and neutralized the drones mid-air. On Saturday morning, drone debris was found in several locations across both Barmer and Jaisalmer, confirming the attempted incursions.

Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation closely, with heightened security in place across all key locations in western Rajasthan.
