According to a media report, he further said that university should be renamed as Subhas Chandra Bose University.
Adding fuel to JNU fire, recently Swamy had said that Modi government has the full right to see whether the money is being used for academic activities in the university.
"JNU must shut down for 4 months and reopen after getting the students to sign the affidavit stating to uphold constitution of India, only those would be allowed to come back", he had said.
This is not the first time, Swamy has spoken about JNU's renaming. Last year the firebrand leader had said, "We have recommended to rename JNU after Subash Chandra Bose as he was a highly educated personality and Nehru was just third class pass."
