JNU row: High powered committee recommendations by March 11
New Delhi, Mar 7: The high powered committee set up by the JNU to probe into the February 9th event will come out with its recommendations on March 11th. The committee set up by the vice chancellor of the university was informed that there was no permission for the event relating to Afzal Guru.
While it was made clear that there shall be no permission granted for the event, the committee was told that Kanhaiya Kumar had objected to the cancellation. The event was held at the Sabaramati Dhaba despite permission being cancelled.

During that meeting, it was brought to his notice about the February 9th event. A pamphlet relating to the event was shown to him in which it was written that a cultural event was being organised regarding the judicial killing of Afzal Guru.
When the JNU refused to grant permission for the event, Kumar had objected to the same over a phone call made to the registrar.
