JNU PhD Admission 2025: Last Date To Apply July 7, Check Eligibility, Dates
Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has announced its PhD admissions for the academic year 2025-26. The application process is now live and will remain open until July 7, 2025 (11:50 PM) via the official JNU admissions portal.
Candidates can apply under three distinct categories:
- JRF (Junior Research Fellowship)
- NET-qualified candidates
- GATE (specifically for the School of Engineering)

Key Eligibility Criteria:
- At least 55% marks in a Master's or MPhil degree
- Or 75% marks in a four-year Bachelor's degree (as per NEP norms)
- 5% relaxation for candidates from reserved categories
Applicants can apply to up to three programs, but must submit separate forms for each category

- Viva-Voce Invitations (tentative): By July 18, 2025

Despite protests by the JNU Students' Union over the exclusion of June 2025 UGC-NET aspirants and the continued absence of the JNUEE, the university is proceeding with the current admission model
