JNU: Freedom of expression should not be misused, says Nirmala
Madurai, Feb 19: Agreeing that freedom of expression was essential in higher education institutions like JNU, Union Minister Nirmala Seetharaman today said that it should not be misused or let to be misused by others.
Talking to reporters here she said "unrest in the JNU campus does not mean unrest in the country. No one should misuse the freedom of expression. It should not be misused or let to be misused by others", the Union Commerce minister said.

During the Congress regime, 100 students were arrested and remanded in Tihar jail for 15 days for gheraoeing the Vice Chancellor of the JNU and Congress had no moral right to talk about freedom of expression.
