J&K: Encounter breaks out at Kupwara, 2 terrorists trapped

Earlier this month, the Indian Army foiled an infiltration bid by killing a militant in North Kashmir’s Machhal Sector.

An encounter is underway in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara. Security forces are engaging with 2 or 3 terrorists.

The encounter broke out early this morning. 2 to 3 terrorists are said to be trapped.
Earlier this month, the Indian Army foiled an infiltration bid by killing a militant in North Kashmir's Machhal Sector.

The government recently released statistics which suggested that 132 terrorists have been killed in the Valley so far. The data revealed that there were still around 68 more terrorists remaining in the Valley and they would be cleaned up by the turn of the winter. The security forces were able to achieve such a high rate of success owing to coordination with the local agencies and the Intelligence Bureau.
