JIPMER MBBS results 2016 out: Here is the merit list

Puducherry, June 16: The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) exam on Thursday published the merit list for the admission 2016.

All shortlisted candidates will attend the counselling scheduled to be held on June 20, 21 and 22. First year MBBS classes will commence from July 1.

Earlier institute had stated that it would announce results on June 13. Some media reports stated that results were declared and students can check it on the official website. On Monday, anxious students went berserk to check their results.

A total of 1,55,193 students appeared for 200 MBBS seats in JIPMER. The entrance test was held on at 275 test venues on June 5, 2016.

The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) is a medical school in India, and the oldest to teach European medicine in Asia. JIPMER is located at Pondicherry, the capital of the union territory of Puducherry, in southern India.
