JIPMER MBBS result 2016 postponed due to 'technical reasons', results likely on June 17

New Delhi, June 14: Students who were appeared for Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) exam will have to wait some more time to see their results.

Reportedly, the medical institute has announced that results will be declared on June 17 now. Institute has cited 'technical resaons' for the delay.

To check their results, candidates can log on to http://jipmer.edu.in/.

Earlier institute had stated that it will announce results on June 13. Some media reports stated that results were declared and students can check it on the official website. On Monday, anxious students went berserk to check theie results.

On monday when students checked the official website, they found that site was not opening at all. Website was down for more than 2 hours.

JIPMER MBBS exam was conducted at 275 test venues on June 5, 2016. Over 1.5 lakh applications were received by the authorities for 200 seats in JIPMER.

The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) is a medical school in India, and the oldest to teach European medicine in Asia. JIPMER is located at Pondicherry, the capital of the union territory of Puducherry, in southern India.
