Jharkhand: Fan of Madhuri Dixit showers ‘gifts’ to cops, bikers to promote road safety
Ranchi, May 1: He is Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit's die-hard fan. At the same time, he is a social worker who has taken up the cause of road safety very seriously. Meet Jharkhand man, Pappu Sardar, whose love for Bollywood has inspired him to work for police personnel and bikers in the capital city of Ranchi.
On the last day of National Road Safety Week on Monday in Ranchi, Sardar distributed water bottles and masks among the traffic police personnel reported ANI.
When asked the reason behind distributing water bottles and masks among the cops, Sardar said that it was summer time and the men and women manning the roads had to endure severe thirst because most often they did not have access to drinking water.
Moreover, Sardar hopes that the masks will help the police personnel to reduce inhaling more toxic air around them. He also gifted helmets to two-wheeler owners to educate them on the importance of wearing safety gears while riding their bikes.
"Ranchi: Pappu Sardar, a social worker and a fan of actress Madhuri Dixit, distributed water bottles and masks among traffic police personnel and helmets among two-wheeler owners on the last day of National Road Safety Week. #Jharkhand," tweeted ANI.
