Jharkhand Election Exit Poll By Dainik Bhaskar Suggest Neck And Neck Fight Between JMM+ And BJP+

The assembly elections in Jharkhand have wrapped up, and the state is eagerly awaiting the results on November 23. The big question is whether the JMM will retain power or if the BJP will take over. Reports from Bhaskar suggest that no single party or alliance is likely to secure the 41 seats needed for a majority.

In Maharashtra, the political battle is between Mahayuti and Mahavikas Aghadi. Neither side is expected to easily reach the majority mark of 145 seats. Predictions indicate Mahayuti might get 120-140 seats, while Mahavikas Aghadi could win between 135-150 seats, with BJP possibly emerging as the largest single party.

Jharkhand Election Exit Poll

Key Players and Predictions

The BJP-led NDA alliance is projected to win the most seats in Jharkhand, potentially nearing government formation. Meanwhile, the JMM-led INDIA block may come in second place. The Congress party's poor performance could hinder INDIA block's chances of gaining power. Local parties and independents like Devendra Singh from Panki and Shalini Gupta from Koderma might be pivotal in forming a government.

The NDA appears strong in about 37-40 seats, with BJP possibly improving its tally compared to previous elections. AJSU might also increase its seat count, while JDU and LJP (R) are expected to win a few seats each. Despite Congress's weak showing, JMM might lose some seats but remain influential.

Potential Outcomes

Experts believe NDA could secure up to 39 seats, with INDIA block close behind, making independents potential kingmakers. The BJP has campaigned vigorously in Kolhan region where it previously faced defeats, attracting key figures from other parties. However, both main alliances might fall short of a majority, leading to a hung assembly and complex post-election negotiations.

The Congress party's campaign has been lackluster, relying heavily on JMM leaders Hemant Soren and Kalpana Soren's popularity. Kalpana Soren's rallies have drawn significant crowds, second only to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's events.

Campaign Strategies

The BJP focused on issues such as inter-community marriages and national unity messages during its campaign. Additionally, the Maiyaan scheme targeting women voters was highlighted as a potential game-changer.

Independent candidates and Jharkhand Loktantrik Kranti Morcha (JLKM) are strong contenders in certain constituencies, potentially influencing election outcomes significantly.

As Jharkhand awaits election results, all eyes are on how these dynamics will play out in shaping the state's political landscape for the coming years.
