Jharkhand: Baby boy born with 8 limbs, locals worship him as 'Lord Ganesha'
Ranchi, April 23: It happens only in India! When babies are born with deformities here, then they are worshiped by locals, in a hope that they are avatars of God.
Most of such bizarre cases happen in rural areas of the country, where people are less-educated. Instead of taking such babies to hospitals, they throng to get a glimpse of them, in an attempt to make their fortunes better. The village has turned into a pilgrimage hotspot as the locals are celebrating his birth and believe him to be reincarnation of the Hindu God, Lord Ganesha.
