Ranchi, April 23: It happens only in India! When babies are born with deformities here, then they are worshiped by locals, in a hope that they are avatars of God.

Most of such bizarre cases happen in rural areas of the country, where people are less-educated. Instead of taking such babies to hospitals, they throng to get a glimpse of them, in an attempt to make their fortunes better. Now, such an incident has been reported from a little town of Dumri-Isri in the state of Jharkhand, where a baby boy has born with eight limbs- four hands and four legs. [WB: Baby boy born with 4 arms, 4 legs; dubbed as "Hindu God" by parents]

The village has turned into a pilgrimage hotspot as the locals are celebrating his birth and believe him to be reincarnation of the Hindu God, Lord Ganesha.

It seems to be a case of birth defect from an underdeveloped conjoined twin. [Meet this 6 year old with a long tail, worshipped as Lord Hanuman]

His mother, Ureda Khatun, has embraced the baby. Doctors are reportedly taking care of the baby and he is said to be recovering.
