Jharkhand: AAP demands immediate arrest of BJP MP
Jamshedpur, July 2: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today took out a procession here demanding immediate arrest of BJP MP Bidyut Baran Mahato and his supporters, who were allegedly involved in beating up AAP activists on June 29 in South Park locality under Bistupur police station.
The 'Nayay' (justice) march started from the office of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee and ended at the district headquarter. A delegation of AAP met East Singhbhum district Deputy Commissioner, Dr Amitabh Kaushal and handed him over a memorandum demanding immediate arrest of Mahato and his supporters.
AAP was also demanding ouster of Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani for alleged anomaly in declaration of her educational qualification and Maharashtra minister Pankaja Munde in connection with a scam.
AAP had lodged an FIR against Mahato and others in this connection while Mahato's supporter Ratan Mahato registered a counter FIR against AAP activists accusing them assaulting BJP workers.
