JD(S) promises a Dalit, minority Dy. CM if voted to power in Karnataka
Playing the Dalit card, JD(S) chief, H D Kumaraswamy has said that if the party is voted to power, he would make a Dalit and a minority deputy chief ministers.
Kumaraswamy who was interacting with journalists in Mysuru said that both the Congress and BJP had lost the moral right to seek votes. He said he has been asking the people to give him an opportunity and also added that he was not a self-declared chief minister.
On the jibe by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah that the JD(S) would get just 25 seats, Kumaraswamy said that he keeps dreaming. Siddaramaiah keeps dreaming that the Congress would win 25 seats, but he takes the name of the JD(S) in his rallies. In the past five years, Siddaramaiah has damaged the government machinery. Even if he is re-elected he will face difficulty in running the government, Kumaraswamy also added.
