JD(U) MP replies to show cause in LTC scam
Patna, April 21: The embattled JD(U) Rajya Sabha MP Anil Sahni has submitted his reply to the party's show cause notice on his alleged involvement in LTC scam stating he was innocent and had done nothing wrong.
"I have submitted my reply to the party's show cause notice. I have put up facts," Sahni told PTI today. In response to a query on the content of his reply submitted yesterday, Sahni said "Sharad Yadavji will tell you about this."

People close to Sahni said, the MP had repeated the same thing in his reply which he had been saying in his defence since the Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari gave his approval to CBI to prosecute the JD(U) MP against whom the agency had filed a chargesheet for his alleged involvement in LTC Scam. Sahni, who is a second term Rajya Sabha member, reiterated his stand that he was innocent and had actually exposed the alleged LTC scam.
CBI had filed a chargesheet against Sahni alleging that he, in conspiracy with other persons, used forged e-tickets and fake boarding passes to defraud Rajya Sabha to the tune of Rs 23.71 lakh as travel and dearness allowance reimbursement without undertaking the actual journey.
