JD-U hails Adityanath's pan masala ban, urges him to go for liquor prohibition
JD-U leader K C Tyagi neither welcomed nor criticised Yogi's decision, but merely said that it 'was not objectionable'.
A day after Yogi Adityanath advised against the use of pan masalas and plastic bags in government offices, the Janata Dal-United on Thursday said that the Uttar Pradesh chief minister should consider banning liquor as well.
Liquor ban is in effect in Bihar where JD-U is part of the ruling grand alliance in which the Congress and the RJD are other two parties.

JD-U's Rajeev Ranjan told ANI that his party welcomes Adityanath's decision and appealed to him to ban liquor in UP.
Another senior JD-U leader K C Tyagi neither welcomed nor criticised Yogi's decision, but merely said that it 'was not objectionable'.
The Bharatiya Janata Party branded the decision as a 'positive step' by Adityanath. BJP leader Shaina NC told ANI that the bureaucrats should not be spitting all over the place.
Deputy Chief Minister of UP, K P Maurya, told reporters on Wednesday that the chief minister has sought a ban on selling and consumption of gutka, pan, pan masala and plastic bags in state government offices and buildings to ensure they are clean.
The chief minister gave this direction after his visit to the state secretariat annexe in Lucknow on Wednesday.
