Jayalalithaa was given wrong medicines: Rebel AIADMK leader

Veteran AIADMK leader P H Pandian on Wednesday accused a relative of party general secretary Sasikala Natarajan of administering wrong medicines to Jayalalithaa

P H Pandian who made startling claims over Jayalalithaa's death and illness on Tuesday was seen standing by Panneerselvam's side as he addressed the press on Wednesday. Pandian went one step ahead from his previous claims and directly accused Dr Sivakumar, a relative of Sasikala Natarajan of administering wrong medicines to Jayalalithaa.

"Dr Sivakumar gave wrong medication to Jayalalithaa when she was undergoing treatment at Apollo. Her death needs to be probed," said Pandian while addressing the media.

Dr Sivakumar, a consultant at Apollo hospital is said to be married into Sasikala's extended family. He was one of the doctors who treated ailing Jayalalithaa when she was admitted to Apollo hospital. Pandian's claims come just one day after doctors from Apollo at the behest of the Tamil Nadu government held a press conference where DR Richard Beale, the London specialist, tried to dispel rumours around Jayalalithaa's death. His claims are sure to fuel more speculations around Jayalalithaa's death.
