Jayalalithaa supporters' 'floor test' irks Twitteratti
Bengaluru, May 20: While May 19 brought two women politicians back to power, there was merriment and joy across the states of West Bengal and Tamil Nadu. Even as counting began on Thursday and early trends showed that Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa was set to return to power, her supporters made the most the the moment.
Celebrations erupted across the state, after it was clear that Amma was going to win. However, Jayalalithaa waited for the moment, her moment of glory. While news reports suggested that she kept a close eye on the counting of votes from her residence, she made her first public appearance after it was declared that her party had swept the elections across the state.

She met her supporters and well wishers who came to see her and congratulate her on her historic win. She was greeted with flowers and bouquets and several supporters who seemed to be mesmerised by her aura.
Jayalalithaa's supporters were seen bowing down to her with folded hands, some even touching her feet. This however didn't go down well with a lot of people who took to social media to criticse the behaviour of her supporters.
