Jayalalithaa's demise has left a void in TN politics: Alva
She was my friend of many years and I have many memories of her. I deeply mourn her loss, said congress leader
Bengaluru, Dec 6: Describing the departed Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa as one of the most popular and enigmatic leaders in Indian politics, senior Congress leader Margaret Alva today said her passing away has left a void in Tamil Nadu politics which will be difficult to fill.
"She was my friend of many years and I have many memories of her. I deeply mourn her loss. Bold and decisive she fought many battles and won even as she battled for life over the last two months. "But this time she lost.

May her soul rest in peace," Alva, who was the Governor of Rajasthan and Uttarakhand, said in her condolence message here.
