Bangalore, Oct 7: In a shocking development in Jayalalithaa case, posters have emerged saying that Tamil Nadu will make Kannadigas hostage if Jayalalalithaa is not released. The threatening poster asserted that Kannadigas living in Tamil Nadu will be arrested and be sent to jail if AIADMK chief is not released from Bangalore jail.

The poster, which also names AIADMK MP Kumar, Minister B Valarmathi and MLA Kalairajan, ignited controversy in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka ahead of Karnataka High Court's decision on Jayalalithaa's bail plea.

Jayalalithaa moved the Karnataka High Court seeking bail as she has been sent to jail for four years in connection with disproportionate assets (DA) case. She also has been imposed a fine of Rs 100 crore.

Jayalalithaa and her three aides have been lodged in Parappana Agrahara Bangalore Central jail. Senior Advocate Ram Jethmalani has been fighting her case in the court.

According to sources, this was not the first time the 'Kannadiga' issue has been brought up. Previously, another poster had been put up depicting a baby asking for 'Amma' in return for Cauvery.
