Born-free: Jaya may walk out of jail today
Bangalore, Oct 18:The last one month was full of anticipation and apprehension for the AIADMK supporters in Tamil Nadu. Their Amma was behind bars and they stood helpless before the judgement of the Karnataka High Court.
However, in a twist, the Supreme Court turned the tables yesterday while hearing her bail plea. She was granted interim bail on health grounds. What more, it was not Ram Jethmalani who won the case, but Nariman Fali-another break in trend.
It is likely that she would walk free now. While Bangalore is bracing itself for yet another Amma affair outside the Bangalore Central Jail, it is yet to be seen what awaits her fate on Dec 18.
Meanwhile, AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa appeals party cadres to refrain from criticising judges or the judiciary's verdicts.
