"Jayalalithaa had died on Dec 4 and not on Dec 5"
Sasikala's brother has reportedly claimed that former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa had died on December 4, 2016, and not on December 5, as the hospital reports state. Sasikala's brother, Diwakaran, said that Jayalalithaa's was declared dead a day late.
This claim is likely to stir a major controversy as lot of questions were raised on Jayalalithaa's death and a commission has already been set up to probe it.
Apollo Hospitals last week submitted two suitcases packed with documents related to the treatment given to Jayalalithaa to an inquiry commission set up to probe her death.
There were allegations that Jayalalithaa's death was triggered by the poor medical attention.
The commission probing Jayalalithaa's death is headed by retired judge A Arumughaswamy.
Apollo Hospitals has been saying it was ready to hand over all documents relating to Jayalalithaa's hospitalisation right from her admission on September 22, 2016 to her death on December 5, 2016. The hospital has been maintaining that it was open for any kind of scrutiny and would make available every document before government authorities.
